I live for me.

I don’t need any man to define me
I define who I am
The love within my heart is irreplaceable
I live in life
Not to be lonely
But to feel empowered
I live to inspire
To inspire those who are young
To let those know
They can be somebody great

I am not like those who came before me
But I want to be more than a role model
I want to be the joy in a little child eyes

I can’t allow my past to come against me
I’m too strong for that
I stand on my own two feet
I’m going to fight for everything
Nothing and no one will stop me
Because not only am I am a phenomenal woman
I am my own best thing
I define and reconstruct my destiny
To be the best of all time

Not to fool others into liking me
But letting myself know
That I didn’t fight for the right of those to come
I come to all nations
I come to all those who want to listen
That this the time and the season

For me to be the American dream
The knowledge within my head
Can’t be replaced
Nothing shall stand in my way

Remember the battle wounds
Scars left on my skin
Remember I’m strong
Continuing to fight
No I won’t stop
Until I'm the last one standing
And my voice is finally heard
