Released

As my pen touches the paper
My soul begins to weep
Because all of the anger I have kept bottled up
Now begins to release
I begin let the imagery roll off my pen
As though the words in my head were slaves
Begging and pleading to become the old me one day
Forgetting the tears that I have swallowed
History has a way of repeating itself
Now, I am followed
Due to my negligence
It’s understood, as disobedience
Remember the pain; I felt when I was pushed to the side; forgotten
The cries I screamed on deaf ears
Are now heard loud and clear
Hear me like you never did before
Face the facts, listen to the music
You and I am no longer the same person
I stepped outside confront zone
Found out what true happiness is all about
I found the new me
I became a different person because the angry dwelling in me was finally released.
